What is free, what credits pay for, what each plan adds, and how credits are granted, spent and topped up.
The editor is free
Every plan, Free included, has the full editor: the multi-track timeline, your own agent and the twelve built-in skills, every caption style, SRT and VTT captions, looks, effects, transitions and keyframes, graphics, stock media, video understanding and search on your Mac, and unlimited exports up to 4K without a watermark. None of it uses credits.
What credits pay for
Credits pay for hosted AI, and 100 credits are $1 whatever you spend them on.

Current prices and allowances are on Pricing. Plans are bought in the app, after you sign in.
How credits work
- Monthly plan credits expire 30 days after they are granted, and yearly plan credits after 365 days. They do not roll over.
- Top-up credits never expire. Buy them any time, on any plan.
- Everything shares one balance, and the oldest credits are spent first.
- Upgrading keeps your unexpired credits and adds the new plan's allowance once payment succeeds. Downgrades take effect at the next billing date.
- If you run out, the editor keeps working; hosted AI waits for a top-up, the next grant or an upgrade.
